Vacation

I like it when Mommy is on vacation. She spends a lot more time cuddling with us. I'm not sure why she's frowning here--she should be ecstatic!

She also cooks more and that means she drops more stuff on the floor for us.

We got a new camera and got our pictures taken repeatedly. Here's a good one of me. For some reason I couldn't get my hair out of my mouth. Don't you hate when that happens?

Here's one of Jeremy.

Snow is hard to capture...she is always in motion.

Kitty really loves being photographed. Careful--this one might burn.

There! Now you are ready to ring in the new year.

Christmas with Kitty

Despite her attempts to hide under the Christmas tree, Annika joined the gang for Christmas morning festivities.

Mommy gave her gifts and put them on her condo.

She tried to get our doggy treats.

Annika maintained that she was unimpressed by the whole event, but she kept sitting under the tree all day.

There are bows, and there are Bows

Mommy took us to get our hair cut earlier this week. I don't know what got into my hair stylist's head, but after he finished the job, he put Bows on my ears.

Now, I am a tomboy, through and through, despite the pink coat Daddy insists I wear when it's cold. However, I did not let those bows get in the way of my playtimes.

Jeremy, on the other hand, likes bows. Or at least he does when Mommy lets him sit in her lap.

Kitty (no picture available, natch), spun her head around and spat like Regan in the Exorcist when Mommy tried to bow her. Snow moves so fast that she got a butt bow and immediately lost it. Snow knows how stockings work. As soon as Daddy got hers out, she started pawing and biting it until she found out what was inside.

We played for a long time with the new Lobsty and a new, non-amputee Monkey. Then we went for a car ride and a long walk where I got to bark at birds (although Mommy wouldn't let me chase them in the lake), so it was a pretty great Christmas.

My Daddy; My Chair

Jeremy is having issues with ownership lately. He's taken my spot on the bed (ahem!) and now he's claimed Daddy:

and the red chair:

I will wait it out.

Can I at least gargle first?

Really, Daddy takes pictures of me at the most inconvenient times. I haven't had my coffee, combed my hair, or put in my contacts.

Jeremy, of course, is all perky perfect.

I hate mornings.

Scary!

News flash: monster appears on local couple's couch.

Later, he's seen stealing toys from defenseless poodles.

Bad Monster!

I got cake!

Last night, Mommy and Daddy took me and Jeremy to a big hotel for a party. A big poodle named Madison was having her birthday and she shared her cake with us. It was creamylicious. Jeremy ate his in one gulp but I asked Mommy to break mine up into smaller pieces because I am Delicate. We stopped at my store on the way to buy some food, but then we left it there. I'm not sure who it was for, but I guess maybe some dogs who don't have enough to eat got it. We didn't take any pictures, so here's an old one for your enjoyment.

More old pictures

Daddy takes lots of pictures of me on his phone. He put a whoooole bunch of them on Mommy's computer. This is one of those, showing me and Mommy reading. You will notice that I am very interested in the book and not trying to get Mommy to play at all.

More on Uncle Dunkie

So if you didn't believe how much we loved Uncle Dunkie from the one picture I included, here are some more:

Come back, Duncan. Your furry friends miss you.

Snow!

I know I talk a lot about my friend Snow, but this was real snow! The wet, fluffy, ground-covering type of snow. Here is a picture of it falling in our backyard.

We got to romp in it a little bit and I discovered that it is mostly like cold rain. I kind of liked the crunchy underfoot, but it hid my acorns so that made me mad. Here is another picture, an old one, but it shows what we looked like yesterday snuggling.

Look closely and you'll see that there are actually four of us on the bed.

Sweater

Mommy put on my coat today and it was very uncomfortable. I refused to move, so she put my sweater on instead. It is very sporty but still a bit tight. Daddy said it's my hair making it tight but...I think I've grown!

End of the Weekend

Yesterday was a very relaxed and sleepy day. Mommy took a break from working and we jumped on the chance to cuddle with her.

It was a cloudy, overcast day. Kitty spent a lot of time outside gathering data, which I think she sent off this morning.

Is she an alien, or a secret agent?

Pukey

Gosh I've been tired lately. Yesterday I got to play a little bit with my neighborhood peeps, Lulu, Chuy and Sonny. However, I took advantage of the fact that Mommy let me off the leash in Auntie Diana and Amy's yard, which is full of acorns. I ate a whoooole lot of acorns. That might be why I woke Mommy up in the middle of the night puking. This is how I felt after that:

Yuck. I feel better today. I'm ready to eat more acorns and run around!

Bye Bye

Our first house guests are leaving soon.

I'll be sad and Kitty will really be sad! Uncle Dunky is good for snuggling and Auntie Laura is good for pets.

Oh well. Just one month until Snow comes to stay, so I have that to look forward to.

Tanksgiving Visitors

Mommy and Daddy had lots of friends over for noms yesterday.

My friends who came over were Bunny and Austin and Hunter.

Bunny turned into a vampire again for a short while but otherwise we had a great time waiting for turkey to fall on our heads.

Hunter ran around getting pets mostly and looking dumb.

Austin posed nice and everyone made fun of his butt, I mean his tail.

p.s. we didn't get any turkey, but we did get a couple of baked potato chips.

Me & Uncle Dunkie

Mommy and Daddy's friends Laura and Duncan came to visit. I guess they are staying for a while because they brought bags with them and they weren't bags of treats for us. Auntie Laura is a good aunt. She threw toys and played tug with me for a long time. Jeremy fell in love with Uncle Duncan. He crawled up on his lap and gazed into his eyes and whispered in his ear. Okay, that last part was made up but only a little bit.

I'm excited because Mommy says we get to visit Snow today, who is my other BFF and I miss her SO MUCH. Also, Patrick likes to drop food so that is a bonus.

Radar

The weather man is so 2009. See how he has to use doppler radar in order to "predict" the weather? Rube.

Cats can detect the slightest change in the atmosphere using our super sensitive whiskers.

Of course, we'd never share that information with humans.

Sorry

No pictures today. I am in bad trouble for pooping on the floor. I think Daddy is really mad because I let Bunny take the heat on Friday for the same crime.

Mommy decided that we can't get our food before walkies anymore.

I didn't mean to poop, but I couldn't hold it any more.

Tired?

More playtime? No, really, I'm too tired.

Oh, Bunny's playing? Okay then.

Bunny, get the Wubba!

She leaps like a gazelle to bring the Wubba back to Mommy. I love Bunny.
