Hallo-Birthday

Auntie Nessa came over today with my bff, Bunny. Everything was going well. We were playing and relaxing while they did some sort of craft project. Mommy was grading papers.

Then the afternoon took a sinister turn. First, Bunny was attacked. You can see her reaction was...unpleasant.

It took some time to subdue her.

Next, Jeremy's turn.

I wasn't too worried. Why would they try to turn me into a flower? I am already as sweet as I can be, right? Wrong, so wrong.

At least my costume looked more like a jester than a flower. Small miracles, right?
We all went out for a walk. Bunny managed to break her flower right away.

Although they let us take our costumes off for a bit, they tried their costumes on us. I was not amused,

but Jeremy took it in stride.

We had to wear the flower power outfits while kids came to visit me. I wasn't sure what that was about about, but it was delightful. Mommy and Daddy gave them candy for visiting. Maybe it was my birthday!

Jeremy Wonders

Hmm, what's this plug doing here?

Pixie, is this yours? (Obviously not--you might want some coffee, pal)

Ahha! Kitty is fully charged.

Halloween

Mommy and Auntie Nessa cut up pumpkins last weekend. They didn't let us help AND they wouldn't let us eat any of the pumpkin goop. It smelled great--like a squirrel that hadn't washed in a month!

Mommy's is just a face but Auntie Nessa's is an angry rabbit (you will have to imagine the ears).

Daddy and Mommy are supposed to dress up like me

and Jeremy

for Halloween. Good luck being so cute.

Rainy Night

Last night I was feeling sad because Kitty was cuddling with Mommy and Jeremy was cuddling with Daddy. There was nowhere for me!

Daddy called me over, patting the little space on the other side. Mommy continued to read her book, but there was room up by her head so I jumped up there. Kitty didn't seem to mind, not that I would have cared anyway, and we both got to cuddle with Mommy. I love rainy evenings!

Jeremy Builds a Fort

For some reason Mommy and Daddy threw a lot of the pillows and blankies on the floor. I love to cuddle under the blankies, but Jeremy had another idea...

He built a fort!

Cool Weather

Cool weather means open windows and doors. We get to run in and out and in and out and in and out. Kitty likes to use the windows as escape routes and she loves it when the window by her condo is open.

Who doesn't like cool breezes ruffling your whiskers while you sleep? Sigh...I love Fall.

Why No Posts All Week

We've been rather busy and distracted around here lately. Finally took a day to rest and recoup.

Mommy had conferences Wednesday and Thursday. Jeremy kindly offered to eat anyone who wasn't very nice.

He grabbed my monkey the other day. If you look closely, you'll see Mommy caught him whipping MonkMonk around at high speeds.

Then he posed in the perfect Puppy Play Bow position and play commenced.

Weekend at Snow's

Aunty Miranda sent a bunch of pics over from my weekend at Snow's house. You can see that we spent a lot of time playing.

We also had to rest a bit, looking cute of course.

The laser devil kept popping out of nowhere.

Prince Patrick knighted me for my good behavior and general good spirit!

Weekend Sleepover

Jeremy and I got to visit Aunt Miranda and Uncle Micah and cousins Patrick and Snow this weekend. Joy! We played from Thursday night through Saturday and by Sunday I was so tired I couldn't stay awake. I also managed to hurt one of my back toenails. It's cracked way down and it kind of hurts a lot. Mommy wrapped it up yesterday but the wrapper kept coming off.

I didn't have the camera, so no pics of me and Snow playing. Mommy had the camera in San Antonio where our friends Ryan and Julie got married.

Aunt Kate and Uncle Chris drove with them and they had a great time, which I don't believe because how could they have a great time without us?

Splish Splash

Rain makes me tired. Actually, running around dodging puddles makes me tired. The only downside to rainy days is having to get dried off repeatedly! My Clifford is always there to offer comfort when I'm suffering from towel-chafing.

Sunday Cartoons

We spent most of Saturday running in and out, in and out, in and out. By Sunday, we were tuckered out. I fell asleep watching cartoons with Daddy.

By the second picture, you can see that Mommy woke me up and I am annoyed.

Jeremy was lying on Mommy, letting him smell his (slightly) fresher breath. He loves his chicken-flavored toothpaste!

Bags

When Mommy and Daddy walk us, they always bring along a plastic bag. They scoop up our poop using the bag and then throw it away when we get home. I don't really understand it. Our poop is precious and helps things grow! Also, it helps other dogs know we've been around the block. When we poop in the backyard, they usually leave it there.

Night Out...or Night In?

Last night was National Night Out. Of course Jeremy and I (and Annika & Lulu & Twinkie) had to stay home. I could smell hotdogs from down the street and people kept walking past to get to the party and it was Torture!

In other news, my new Froggy might need some medical attention, and some help from that House guy on TV.

Mommy still lets me play with him so he's in the rotation. Here I am in the midst of my toys, trying to make myself feel better about being left out of all of the fun last night.

Cleaner

Our new cleaner picked up all of my toys when she vacuumed. Fine, I understand. She didn't put them back, though.

I had to help myself...

choosing carefully...

until I had the one I wanted.

Sunday Snuggling

When Daddy snuggles me during naptime, it is a good thing.

This weekend, we moved Kitty's condo into the living room. Daddy said it is because we have guests coming next weekend and we don't want Kitty to be locked away from her stuff if they close the door. You can see that her condo doubles as a communication tower.

It's nice that everyone can sleep close together now.

Training

Jeremy extended his cuddling to our trainer last night.

After a while she had to push him off because he's so furry and hot--she was starting to sweat!

Meanwhile, Daddy continued to huff and puff...

and I enjoyed the cool breeze of Daddy's fan.

Snuggly Evening

When Mommy and Daddy came home from dinner (nope, nothing for us), couch snuggling commenced.

Jeremy and Daddy really love each other.

Reallllly.

Even Kitty got involved.

She expresses her opinion of the whole affair.
