Meet My New Toy...

...Jeremy. Daddy put my soft rope toy around Jeremy's neck so I could pull him. He was my big tug toy for a while.

You can tell that after a while he decided to eat Daddy for being so mean.

I didn't care. I love my JeremyToy!

Disappointing

Snow, Patrick, Auntie Miranda and Uncle Micah came to visit again on Sunday. Daddy was playing with Patrick, putting a gold chain on him like a goombah.

Snow says that Patrick feeds her all the time at home, but he hasn't been good for snacks at our house. I was very disappointed. Oh well, maybe we'll have something crumbly next time they come over!

Waterhole

We've been exploring the Willow Waterhole parks around our house. Here is Jeremy in the car...

Here's me enjoying the wind in my fur.

Isn't it pretty?

Mommy let me go down to see the birds, but I scared them away. It was a great walk anyway!

Blankie Time

It's warmed up again and it's rainy (blech), but for a while there it was FREEZING! I kept warm in various ways, but mainly by burrowing in any blankie I could find.

Snug-hance!

Snow and Patrick

As I mentioned at the end of my last post, Snow came over last night. Her mama is out of town, so she just brought her dad (Uncle Micah) and her brother, Patrick. Patrick is getting big enough to play with. He pulled himself up on the couch to join in our playtimes.

He looked pretty cute sitting next to Snow but he kept us busy making sure he didn't grab Mommy's phone or anything breakable.

He did have fun playing with our big exercise balls and the pump for them. We hate that pump, but he seemed to love it. Unfortunately he and Mommy were playing with that and nobody took a picture.

Two New Friends

My new friends Rags and Schnitzel came to visit last night. We played outside and inside but outside was the best. Schnitzel can actually run as fast as me! He turns corners on a dime. Daddy only took pictures inside, so you can see how cute my pals are. Here is Schnitzel lying on the couch, resting up from racing around outside.

Here is Rags. See, he's even smaller than me!

Everyone got tired when the marathon Trivial Pursuit game started, so we took naps.

Okay, Snow just came over so I have to go!

Still Life on Couch

Composition of painting and photographs is not my specialty, but this seems like an excellently composed photo.

You'll notice that the subjects are spread throughout the photo, slightly concentrated toward one end, so it is not completely symmetrical. I'm told this adds interest.

Finally, most of the subjects take no interest in the photograph, so it is clearly not posed.

This concludes your lesson in composition.

Support Team

We spent all day yesterday in preparation for this?

The time spent under the blankie was golden, though. Thank you, Daddy, for creating the blankie cave for me!

Look, I even put up with the sweater. Auntie Kate, you were very sweet to say I should have a cape rather than a sweater. Maybe I could put this on my birthday wish list?

Cold!

Phew, that was a long week. Mommy was at home for two straight weeks and then all of a sudden **poof** she's gone.

We live in southeast Texas, where "cold" is usually measured at 40 degrees fahrenheit. The weather guys on TV kept saying that it was going to get really cold, so Mommy and Daddy took us to the store to buy a new jacket for me. We tried on a whole bunch of them. They finally gave up and bought a new sweater because the jackets were all too big or had hoods. I don't do hoods. My sweater is pink (bleh) and has blingy sequins (ick) AND an appliqued snowman (my eyes, my beautiful eyes). Every time I have to wear it, I stand still in protest and make Mommy or Daddy pull me outside. Once we're walking, though, I forget all about it and have fun.

It sure is quiet around here

Yesterday we took a nice long walk at the Arboretum. After that, Snow's mom called and said she had to come home for dinner. I was all, "What? We were just about to start a game of Risk!" but our parents were adamant.

This is how I spent the rest of the day, partly because I was put out and partly because I was exhausted.
