SleepyTimeFortsTM

The new year has delivered many opportunities for cozy sleeping.  It's been cold and icky outside, not to mention the fact that we stayed up really really late on New Year's Eve.  I was a bit tired the day after:

Jeremy was also a bit sleepy:

Even Annika joined in the restful afternoon:

Later in the week, I made a fort!  Here's a bad far away picture:

and a better, but darker, close up:

I slept there while Mommy and Daddy worked.  It was so warm and lovely, until Daddy deconstructed it.  Poop.

New Years!

New Years Eve was awesome.  Daddy did NOT make me wear a funny hat, sweater or other accessory, although he did make his friends wear some...

You can also see that Rosie had a wonderful evening.

Before everyone came, Mommy set up the table full of food that Daddy bought:

While we kept watch over the buffet to make sure nothing happened to it:

I lap-surfed my way through the night and by 2013 I was smiling and loved.  No picture--I think Mommy was drinking some bubbly liquid at that point.  Happy new year!

Blast From the Past, Mahn!

Mommy recently discovered this gem, from when I first received Pink Baby for Christmas, many years ago:

That was a crazy hair year, right?  Looks like I should be at a Bob Marley concert!

Snow Visit

Snow is here with us for Christmas, like usual.  We are having so much fun playing with our new toys!

The only problem is choosing which one to play with.

Snow couldn't wait to get out her gifts.

I am much more delicate.

Beds

**Annika Guest Post**
Dear Readers,
You may know about cats and beds.  We make our beds wherever and whenever it is convenient and comfortable for us.  If a surface is warm, soft or both, we will make our beds there.  Laps are good, but laps with warm computers are better.

One of my beds is the couch pillow behind my human's head.  It's warm and soft and has the added advantage of being above everyone else, which helps me show my dominance of the situation.  Yesterday, the human had placed her reading material (pulp mystery novel--pttui!) upon my pillow.  Rather than knock it away, I chose rather to make myself comfortable around it.  I think it rather makes the point, don't you?

She moved it soon after, which restored my resting spot to its perfect state.

Workies!

Nope, that's not a typo.  Daddy drove me, Jeremy and Rosie to visit Mommy at work.  Whoo hoo!  She works at a big garden packed with smells and nice people.  I tried to scoot under the plant tables because I could smell SQUIRREL, but Mommy wouldn't let me.  I found a gorgeous scarf and I tried to take it, but Mommy wouldn't let me.  Mommy's friend offered me a treat, and Mommy let me!

Unfortunately, we were too busy to take pictures, so you'll have to imagine it with your mind.

Sweater

You may recall that I do NOT love sweater weather.  Jeremy and Rosie don't have to wear them, so I'm not sure why I do.  Sweaters feel weird on my body!  However, it is cold here today and Daddy insisted:

He did give me some love to make up for forcing me into the sweater...

but as you can see from my face, I felt pretty low.  I mean, it's better than my old snowman sweater, but I'm not from Norwegianland or wherever this thing comes from.

Warm weather hurry back!
